Old Town Square will be transformed into a community altar, welcoming the ancestors back on Dia de Muertos. 

Día de Muertos is a beautiful time when those that we lost come to visit us, and we receive them with their favorite foods, candy, and drinks. It’s a moment to share with family and friends fond memories of your loved ones and to rejoice in the beautiful memories they left in our hearts. This is a celebration of life and a reminder of our impermanence.

Throughout the day, folks are invited to experience the altar celebrating the lives of loved ones. Then, starting at 5p the Square will be filled with live music, traditional dance, food & drink, a virtual altar, and a community procession.

All are welcome to submit items to the virtual altar, to be displayed in the square all day long with an immersive experience. This is an opportunity for community to share in remembrance. The virtual altar will then be archived on the NoCo Dia de Muertos website for years to follow.
